Farm Tours

Our guided farm tours are a unique opportunity to meet the gentle and affectionate Angora goats. 

Learn more about these amazing animals and come enjoy our picturesque surroundings with friends and family.  

Ad Maiora Angoras is situated 26km (30-minute drive) south of Christchurch CBD, just off the SH75. 

Hosted at 324 McQueens Valley Road, Motukarara. 

We have guided farm tours in Spring, Summer, and early Autumn. Refer to our timetable for the next scheduled farm tour.

The tour starts with a brief introduction to these amazing animals. You will learn about mohair, its history, unique characteristics, and applications. 

We will then go on a short hike through the farm, where you will be able to interact with the goats.

Lastly, you will visit the mohair studio for some mohair inspiration, a beverage, and a snack or two.

The farm is beautiful, and photo opportunities are endless!

The duration of the tour is approximately 1 hour.
